The IAEC meeting of the institute was held on 20th May, 2026 u nder the Chairmanship of Dr. Sandeep Ghatak, PS & Head and Chairman, IAEC. It was attended by Main Nominee, Dr Pranjal Pratim Saikia, Socially Aware Nominee, Dr Arvind Gulbake and Scientist from outside of the institute, Dr Saiket Sen (online) nominated by The Committee for Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CCSEA) under Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Govt of India. A total of 11 research projects involving animal experimentation were presented during the meeting. The internal members of IAEC, Dr Samir Das, Dr Rahul Katiyar, Dr Gautam Khargharia and Dr Sourabh Deori (Member Secretary) also attended the meeting. The members inspected the experimental animal house facilities after the meeting.
